This morning, I performed the scheduled preventative maintenance on a Lennox heat pump system at a local residence. I began by thoroughly cleaning the outdoor condenser coils using a non-acidic coil cleaner and soft-bristle brush. I then replaced the MERV 11 air filter in the air handler and inspected all electrical connections, capacitors, and contactors for proper operation. Additionally, I measured refrigerant pressures and airflow to verify the system was performing within manufacturer specifications. While on-site, I also provided a detailed proposal to replace the existing heat pump with a ductless Lennox mini-split system. This upgrade would offer improved efficiency, zoned climate control, and enhanced indoor air quality for the homeowners.
